Military Law

Mr. Fredrick is a 2005 graduate of the United States Army Judge Advocate General School in Charlottesville, Virginia. In 2012, Mr. Fredrick received an honorable discharge from the United States Army Reserves, and in 2013 he began serving in the United States Air Force Reserve JAG Corps. Mr. Fredrick authored the Missouri Bar publication “Military Issues in Family Law” which has become the definitive guide in that area of Missouri law. For many years Mr. Fredrick has taught many other lawyers and judges about military issues in family law and in civil litigation at the annual Missouri Bar Family Law Conference, Judicial Trial College, and many other Continuing Legal Education (CLE) presentations. He understands the unique aspects that are inherent with military divorces, including custody, child support, division of military retired pay, and other issues. He is one of the very few attorneys in the State of Missouri who have litigated international custody disputes in federal court pursuant to the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction and the International Child Abduction Remedies Act (“ICARA”), 42 U.S.C. § 11601–11611 (1988).

Mr. Fredrick also handles cases pursuant to the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) and the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) He has represented hundreds of military spouses and service members, so regardless of what legal issues you are facing, he will zealously represent you. He has clients who are stationed CONUS and OCONUS, and is very comfortable working with clients by phone, fax, and email, so regardless of your duty station, he can help you.
